The Perfect Graduation Dress

Tiedättehän, aikainen lintu madon nappaa!! Ja faktahan on, etten ole ainoa, joka valmistuu kesäkuun ensimmäisenä viikonloppuna, joten ihanimmat mekot loppuvat varmasti kesken, jos huonosti käy.. En halua enää yhtään isoa juhlaa, jossa tunnen itseni vastenmieliseksi mekkoni takia!!

You know, the early bird catches the worm!! And I will not be the only one graduating on the first weekend of June so most likely the most lovable dresses are gone like that.. I don’t want to go through another big celebration feeling repulsive because of what I’m wearing!!

Tässä olen minä uunituoreena ylioppineena.
Mä niin inhoan tota mekkoa. Ei tuonut esille minkäänlaisia kurveja ja tunsin itseni niin vastenmieliseksi koko päivän! Hyvä, ettei joku kysynyt olenko raskaana!!
Ei, en vapaaehtoisesti valinnut tätä mekkoa.

This is me on graduation day from high school.
I absolutely hate the dress. It looks like I have no curves whatsoever and I felt just disgusting the whole day. I’m happy that no-one asked me if I was pregnant!!
No, I did not voluntarily choose this dress.

Jokaisella varmasti on tämä ongelma valmistujaisissa:
mitä pukea päälle?
Tiedän haluavani A-linjaisen, polveen yltävän mekon. Valitettavasti se ei ole “in” tällä hetkellä ja mikä ei ole muodissa (eli näytäpä tissit ja jalkaa vesirajaan saakka..) maksaa myös hieman enemmän..

 

Miulla on mekon metsästyksessä kaksi ongelmaa:

1. Mittani. Mun mitoilla löytyy huonosti sulosia, kriteereitäni vastaavia mekkoja, jotka eivät maksa kolmasosaa vuokrastani.
2. AMC. Tottakai haluan näyttää mahdollisimman nätiltä ja virheettömältä juhlapäivänäni. Ja valitettavasti vammani tuo joitain pieniä virheitä, kuten lordoosi, käsieni pituusero ja kuinka käteni tavallaan kiertyvät eteenpäin, jos vain saatte ajatuksenjuoksustani kiinni.. [Kyllä, minä saan olla vaivautunut vammapiirteitteni takia, aivan kuten siitä, että hiukseni eivät ole mielestäni tarpeaksi pitkät.] Haluan myös mekon, jota voin käyttää valmistujaiseni jälkeen ja varsinkin pyörätuolissa ollessani.

I think everyone who is graduating has this same problem: what to wear?
I know I want a A-lined dress that goes down to knees. Unfortunately that’s not “in” right now and what’s not in (meaning show your boobies and hellova much of your legs..) you gotta pay some extra money..

I have two problems finding the perfect dress:

1. My measurements. There are very few cute dresses that not only fit me but also meets my criteria and do not cost 1/3 of my rent.
2. AMC. Of course I want to look as pretty and flawless as possible on my own special day. And unfortunately my disability makes it really hard to find a fitting dress, like my lordosis and my hands that are not the same length and they kinda twist forward if you get what I mean.. [Yes, I’m allowed to feel awkward about my disablity flaws just like how I feel awkward that my hair is too short for my taste.] I want a dress that I can use after my graduation party too and especially when I’m sitting on my wheelchair.

Tähän mekkoon rakastuin ensisilmäyksellä! Tämä olisi ehdottomasti täydellinen valmistujaismekko!! Kyseessä on Undergroundin Pink Roses -mekko, plussakoossa (69,00 €).
Jos olen näissä mitoissa vielä huhtikuussa, 4XL voisi mennä minulle joustavan materiaalinsa takia (ry 117 cm, vy 101,5cm). Ainoa miinuspuoli on, että siinä ei ole olkapäillä mitään, kuten pieniä hihoja..

 

I fell in love with this dress immediately when I saw it! This would the perfect graduation dress for me! This is Underground’s Pink Roses[FIN], plus size (69,90 €). If my measurements are the same on April, as they are now, their size 4XL [bust 117 cm / 46.06 in, waist 101,5 cm / 40 in]  would most likely fit me because they say it is flexible. The only downside is that there’s nothing on the shoulders, like tiny sleeves..

 

Tässä on pari vaihtoehtoa lisää Undergroundin valikoimasta. Juu, olen tietoinen, että ne ovat hieman tummia kesäiseen juhlaan, mutta.. miksipä ei? :3
Ensimmäinen mekko on Black White Dot -mekko (64,90 €), jonka materiaali on myös joustavaa. Sen mitat tosin ovat (XXL) ry 109 cm ja vy 94 cm, joten tätä mekkoa tuskin tullaan näkemään minun päällä valmistujaisissani. Surettaa hieman, sillä rakastan sen mustavalkoista täpläkuosia ja suloisia pieniä hihoja! Ehkä vielä joskus, kun Chubby Bunny -projekti on tarpeeksi pitkällä ja saan ahdattua itseni tuohon kokoon! XP
Seuraava on Black Blue Bow -mekko (62,90 €), joka ihastutti minut rusettikuosillaan [tosin luulin niitä ensin perhosiksi..]!! Valitettavasti tämän mekon kanssa ollaan aivan samassa tilanteessa kuin edellisen kanssa.. :c

Here are a couple more options from Underground’s assortment. Yes I am aware that both of them are quite dark for a summer time celebration but.. why not? :3
The first dress is Black White Dot[FIN] (64,90 €) that is also flexible. The measurements, however, are (XXL) bust 109 cm / 43 in and waist 94 cm / 37 in so you won’t probably see me wearing this dress on my graduation day. I’m sad to be honest because I love the black white dot pattern and those cute tiny sleeves! Maybe one day I get to buy one when project Chubby Bunny has progressed to the point I can squeeze myself to that size! XP
The following dress is Black Blue Bow[FIN] (62,90 €) that caught my eye with it’s adorable bow pattern [I first thought they were butterflies though..]!! Unfortunately we are in the same situation here with the measurements as we are with the previous dress.. :c

Nämä kaksi mekkoa veivät myös sydämeni!
Ensimmäinen mekko on Miss Windy Shopin Maria Blue Floral (99,00 €) ja sen vaaleassa kuosissa miellyttää minua niin kauheasti!! Tuo kaula-aukon suuruus on vain hieman epäilyttävä.. :P Suurin osa plussakoista ovat loppuneet tällä hetkellä, mutta heidän 4XL [ry 121-126 cm, vy 101 cm] menisi päälleni tällä hetkellä. Tässä mekossa myös hihat tuovat bonuspisteitä, jolla saisin peitettyä vasemman käteni hauisoperaation punertavan arven.
Sininen mekko on Miss Windy Shopin Dolores Doll Blue Garden (89,00 €), joka mielestäni sopisi täydellisesti merkonomilakin hopeisuuden kanssa yksiin! Pidän todella paljon mekon “tasapainoisuudesta”! Näkisin itseni tässä mekossa valmistujaisissani.. mikäli saan siis itseäni kutistettua hieman. Suurin koko tälle mekolle on 2XL [ry 111-116 cm, vy 91 cm], joten saapi nähdä..

These two adorable dresses also stole my heart!
The first dress is Miss Windy Shop’s Maria Blue Floral[FIN] (99,00 €), which light overall pattern pleases my eye so~ much!! I’m very suspicious about the neckline though.. :P Most of their plus sizes are sold out right now but their size 4XL [bust 121-126 cm / 47.6 in, waist 101 cm / 39.7 in] would fit me. The sleeves really do bring some points to the dress’ benefit because I could hide my still reddish scar from the surgery of my left biceps.
The blue one is Dolores Doll Blue Garden[FIN](89,00 €), also from Miss Windy Shop. I think the dress would be a perfect match with the silver tones of the graduation hat[FIN]! I really like the “balance” the dress has! I can see myself wearing this dress at my graduation party..if I’ll get some cm / inches off.. The largest size of this dress is 2XL [bust 111-116 cm / 43.7 in, waist 91 cm / 35.8 in], so we’ll see about that..

Mulla on joku juttu täplien kanssa nyt selkeesti :D Takaisin asiaan!!
Katsokaa nyt tuota upeaa sinisen sävyä! Kyseessä on Miss Windy Shopin Japanese Floral On Blue Hepburn (99,00 €). En välttämättä haluaisi tuota valmistujaismekoksi, mutta muuten tuon voisin ehdottomasti hankkia itselleni! Sopiva kokokin löytyy! (yay!)
Seuraavaksi – ja viimeiseksi – tämä ihana täplämekko~ olen aina halunnut täplämekon! Ei myöskään ehkä aivan valmistujaismekkoehdokas, mutta.. hihii~♥ Dolores Doll Black Polka Dot (82,00 €) löytyy nippanappa nykyisille mitoilleni koolla 4XL. Ehkä, jos vaan saan säästettyä ylimääräistä rahaa, saan hankittua ikioman täplämekon!!

Just look at that wonderful blue color! That dress is Miss Windy Shop’s Japanese Floral On Blue Hepburn (99,00 €). I probably wouldn’t choose that as my graduation dress but I could definitely buy that for casual use! And they have my size! (yay!)
The next – and final one – is this lovely dot dress~ I have always wanted a dot dress! I don’t think this dress would be the best choice for a graduation dress either, but.. hihii~♥ They have Dolores Doll Black Polka Dot[FIN] (82,00 €) in size 4XL which I would barely fit right now. Perhaps, if I’ll get saved enough money to spare I will buy a dot dress of my own!!

Tässä oli kutakuinkin ajatukseni täydellisen mekon metsästyksestä valmistujaisiini tähän mennessä! Onneksi tässä on kuitenkin hiukan aikaa, ennen kuin varsinainen ostopäätös täytyy tehdä..

So far these are my thoughts about finding the perfect dress for my graduation! Luckily there is some time before I must decided what dress I will purchase..

Can’t I just have them all..? ♥
